Gum erasers: a studio standby for generations

Gum erasers are softer, spongier, and more absorbent than regular plastic erasers. They have always been an important item in drawing classes because they can handle pencil, charcoal, and all other dry media, without damaging the paper surface.

The Milan 1420 “Master Gum” is a synthetic-rubber gum eraser measuring 5.5 x 2.3 x 1.1 cm (about 2.1″ x 0.9″ x 0.4″), with rounded corners. Made in Spain.
