BETTER PANELS. MADE IN OREGON.

We’re proud to offer painting panels from American Easel made with care in Salem, Oregon. These panels are made from sustainably-harvested wood, sourced as locally as possible in the American Northwest.

If you’ve used cheap wood panels before, American Easel Cradled Birch will be an exciting change of pace. Perfectly flat and sanded smooth, with a hardwood cradle that will keep the surface stable for many years, Cradled Birch Painting Panels are suitable for work that will be sold or displayed in a gallery.

UNPRIMED BIRCH

We love the natural look of these birch panels. Each one has its own grain structure and color, so each piece starts with a natural background that’s totally unique. If you want to keep the wood grain visible, we recommend using transparent gesso to prime it before painting.

GALLERY DEPTH PANELS

This cradled panel is gallery-depth: it measures 1 5/8″ from the surface to the back of the support. You can hang it without a framejust install a length of wire in the back. Because of the wide profile, it looks finished on its own.

Available in a wide range of sizes. Sold individually.
