The Costermonger is the essential market tote, designed as a backpack. Fill it up with wholesome goodies, leaving your hands free to pet your dog. This is a simple, satisfying sew that uses little fabric, so it’s ideal for using up some of your stash. The instructions show you how to make it with leather or webbing.

Finished measurements: length 45 cm, width 40 cm.

All seam allowances are 1.5 cm unless otherwise stated.

Skill level: beginner.

Fabric suggestions: Oilskin, Dry Oilskin, Mid-Heavyweight Cotton Canvas or Drill, Midweight Denim (8-14oz).

Our patterns are now printed within Europe, the pattern paper is 70gsm white (FSC certified) and is made only 180km away from the printers. Our instructions now come in booklet format rather than A3 sheets.
